The Story
Thank you for stopping to view these photographs. It means a lot to me. Please consider bringing these cherished prints into your home.

These photographs are all hand printed from my most prized negatives as archival prints in archival mats. The Black and White images were all shot using a 4x5 or 8x10 view camera, as were some color prints.
The Diner series was created in 1982 and many of them have long since been torn down. The moody interiors were taken at The Mohonk Mountain House in New Platz New York.

These prints are special. I remember clicking the shutter on each and every one of them. I hope they bring some of the same joy and wonder I had traveling with my view camera through so many fields and hallways, searching for that perfect negative created from just the right amount of light, exposure, and processing.

Most of these images were printed at The Harvey Milk Photo Center, managed by The San Francisco Park Service. I am so grateful that they are still here keeping these old processes alive.
